On March 23rd we celebrated the wedding of our dear friends Sarah and Tony. Tony has been apart of Hoor's life since he was born. Sharing the same nanny as small children in Chicago, baseball camps, sleepovers at hotels, and trips to Orlando made up much of their youth along with hilarious stories that always make me smile. Their friendship is like no other, in fact they are more like brothers because each of their families accept the other as their son. Even when Tony and his family moved to Florida when he was 10, they continued their friendship without missing a beat.
Sharing in the joy of Sarah and Tony's wedding is something we will treasure for years to come.

We stayed at The Londoner Bed and Breakfast with Sarah and Tony. This was our first bed and breakfast experience and it was wonderful. The Londoner is a six-bedroom home that dates back to 1926 and is decorated with all things British. The owners are a lovely couple from outside of London who made us feel at home. Before the wedding, Hoor and I enjoyed a traditional afternoon tea accompanied by mini sandwiches, cupcakes, muffins, scones, jam and fresh lemon curd. We played the part while having a spot of tea with our pinkies out and donning our best British accents (which we tried to perfect shortly after leaving for Bradenton). The day after the wedding Hoor and I had a quiet breakfast at The Londoner with Tony and Sarah. It was so great to reminisce about all the fun we had the night before at the wedding.

The celebration continued at Tony's parents' home with Cuban-style barbecue. If we didn't eat enough the night before, here was another opportunity to cheat on our diets. Sarah's family from "Nawlins" brought a delicious crawfish dish that paired nicely with the rice and beans. During lunch, Tony's mom, Olga surprised the guests with a live mariachi band, because no barbecue is complete without a mariachi band! Storm clouds and high winds forced us to bring the party indoors where we had the opportunity to visit with Sarah and Tony's family a little bit more before heading back to Fort Lauderdale. Thank you both for the best weekend!

Sarah and Tony are beautiful individuals inside and out. Never will you meet a couple so in love and so passionate about life. We had the pleasure of spending the weekend with both of their families and it's easy to see where they get their big hearts from.
The reception followed in the museum's Spanish courtyard. The couple choreographed a beautiful salsa dance for their first dance as husband and wife. If you couldn't feel the romance in the air, the courtyard was adorned with strings of lights, wine barrels, candelabras, roses and hydrangeas to create an impeccable ambience, not to mention, the statue and fountains provided the perfect backdrop for pictures. Guests slipped on their dancing shoes after dinner and danced the night away to a live salsa band and DJ.
Throughout the night guests could be seen mingling throughout the courtyard, enjoying delicious sangria, and visiting the photo booth where they could put on outrageous accessories and strike a pose for the couple's guestbook. It was one of the evenings where you wish you could just stop time, so you could enjoy and feel the love a little bit longer.
The wedding took place at The South Florida Museum in Bradenton, FL. The quaint ceremony took place in a chapel that instantly transported us to the 16th century. It's safe to say that everyone's breath was take away when the bride entered the chapel.

Sarah and Tony even joined us for some bhangra! Their wedding cake was masterpiece created by Sarah's aunt and it was cut next to the manatee exhibit. The younger guests including me, got a kick out of this!
