We've been in our new home for five days already! With the exception of several boxes in our office, it is definitely starting to look like home. Our apartment is much smaller than our town home in Saint Charles, but we absolutely love it! It's trendy, cozy, and the sight of palm trees never gets old. Everyone has been so nice to us Midwesterners. Upon our arrival the landscapers and residents by the pool helped us bring in our luggage and find our way around this maze of a building (I'm surprised I haven't gotten lost yet). The gym and pool are amazing amenities and it truly feels as if we are living at a resort! Below are pictures of our East and South Views from our apartment.
We spent the latter half of Thursday waiting for our cars to be delivered and shopping at Target. A taste for tacos brought us to a hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurant across the street for dinner. The movers came early Friday morning and we spent the rest of the day unpacking and organizing. We spent much of Saturday organizing our new space and finding the local grocery stores (Winn Dixie and Publix). Our location is wonderful. Both grocery stores are less than five minutes away. We are a ten minute drive to the beach and a ten minute walk from downtown and Las Olas Blvd.
Saturday night we ventured out to downtown Fort Lauderdale and had dinner at French bistro. Hoor and I enjoyed a beautiful sunrise lined with cruise ships from our balcony while we ate our breakfast on Sunday. Later that day we drove over to Pembroke Pines in search of an Indian grocery store and we were successful! I was able to find garlic/ginger paste, naan, and some spices that were missing from my spice box. Even though it has been stormy these past few day, it feels like a vacation! Back to some unpacking! I promise to post pictures once our place is completely put together.

So excited for you guys! I'm glad to hear that you are starting to get settled into your new place. I cannot wait to see the pictures!
